Founded in 1889, Pocatello is located in Southeastern Idaho, and is the 5th largest city in the state. Pocatello’s agriculture industry includes, potatoes, grains, and more. One of Pocatello’s largest employers is Idaho State University campus in Pocatello. The university’s L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center overlooks Pocatello and the lower Portneuf River Valley.

Pocatello is home of the semi-pro baseball team the Gate City Grays. Pebble Creek, Idaho ski resort just south of Pocatello, offers skiing and snowboarding, and for participants in the Pocatello Marathon and/or Half-Marathon may use their times to qualify for the Boston, and New York marathons.
